On December 8^th, when we celebrate the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary and 130^th anniversary of the institution of the Society of the Divine Savior, at St. Michael’s church in Rragam, the Salvatorian Family thanked God for their 130^th birthday.

On November 18-20 this year took place in Zakrzów, Poland, the National Meeting of the the Missionary Volunteers association „Salvator”. The motto of the event was: LOOK! What consists foundations of your faith? What you are missing? What you can afford? What is the source of your strength? In the meeting took part 70 young people.

From November 22nd to 24th this year, in Trzebinia, Poland, took place the 10th Provincial Synod of the Polish Province of the Society of the Divine Savior. The Synod was dedicated to in-depth reflection on community life. Besides that were discussed important issues related to life and activity of the Polish Salvatorians in Poland and abroad.

Fr. Tadeusz Gleń has passed away on November 18th 2011 at the hospital in Chrzanów. He was a Salvatorian for fifty four years. He will be remembered as a zealous priest, longtime pastor, responsible for construction of the parish church in Ponice.

On October 24-28, 2011, members of the Canadian Region of the Polish Province met at "Sanctum" retreat center in Caroline, Alberta (Archdiocese of Edmonton) for the autumn session and the annual Salvatorians’ retreat. The first and second day (Monday and Tuesday) were devoted to current affairs of the region. Members discussed apostolic tasks and pastoral works of the Polish Salvatorians, who work in 20 parishes in Canada.

On Saturday, August 13th, at 7.30 a.m., at St. Michael church in Chicago took place the Holy Mass, opening the 24th Pilgrimage to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Czestochowa in Merrillville, IN. The Holy Eucharist was presided over by the Most Rev. Bishop Edward Janiak from Wrocław, and concelebrated by many diocesan and religious priests working in the United States. Among them was Fr. Józef Zuziak SDS, one of the founders of the Pilgrimage and its guide; Fr. Bronisław Jakubiec SDS, general consultor of the Society of the Divine Savior, and also a guide of the Pilgrimage; Fr. Piotr Filas SDS, provincial superior and Fr. Marcin Czyż SDS, who works in Mexico, as well as Fr. Joe Rodriguez SDS from the North American Pro-province accompanied by six candidates and novices.

On June 24-26, volunteers from all across the country met in Trzebinia, in order to decide on future goals. Some of the members of the SMV are going to leave soon for the Salvatorian mission outposts. On June 16-18 in Kraków, took place the Fifth Salvatorian Soccer Competition, organized by the Salvatorian Vocation Center under the patronage of provincial superior of the Polish Province. This year there came 13 teams from schools and parishes and for the first time the SOP team.This time the winner was the team from Dobroszyce; the second place - team from Warsaw and the third place - the team from Mikołów.

On Monday 27th of June 2011 Salvatorian community gathered for the celebration of 50 years of service in Australia. Australian community of Salvatorians was joined by Salvatorian members from other parts of the world: Fr Bronislaw Jakubiec (General Consultor from Rome), Fr Piotr Filas (Provincial of the Polish Province), Fr Alex McAllister (Provincial of the British Province), Fr David Bergner (Provincial of the American Province), Fr Boguslaw Loska (Vice provincial of the Polish Province), Fr Roman Slupek (Consultor of the Polish Province), Fr Chris Kowalczyk (Superior of the Eat Asian Mission Vicariate), Fr Dominic Su (Superior of the China Mission Vicariate) and other Salvatorians who came to join us for this celebration.

On May 28^th  in the Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima in Trzebinia, the Most Rev. Jan Zając, Bishop of Kraków, ordained to the priesthood and deaconate the Salvatorian deacons and acolytes.
